Main Mission

The purpose of the Community main mission is to increase residents' quality of life and their ability to influence their living conditions. Together, the activities of the main mission create conditions for good health, an attractive, accessible, and vibrant urban environment, countryside and nature, a safe and healthy indoor and outdoor environment, a rich supply of culture, sports, leisure, and good infrastructure.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your mission as a lifeguard means that you must be able to act and assist a person in distress in an emergency, provide help for minor injuries to bathers, and alert when necessary. You should be able to move quickly between the towers with equipment, which places high demands on basic physical fitness.

Surveillance takes place at four locations in Skälderviken and Vejbystrand from midsummer to mid-August.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be eligible for the position, you must be at least 18 years old at the start of the season. You must also have the Swedish Lifesaving Society's Coastal Lifeguard Training. If you do not already have the training, you commit through your employment to complete the training in Tylösand from June 6-18. In these cases, Ängelholm Municipality will cover the course costs. As a person, you need to be open and have a good sense of service and customer interaction.

It is an advantage if you have experience from similar professions and activities or are medically trained.

The recruitment will be based on a comprehensive assessment of several parts:

  • Previous experience in similar professions and other experiences (based on the application)
  • Interviews
  • Physical tests (on land and in water)

When you receive notification that you have progressed after the application assessment, you will be informed of where and when the tests will be conducted.
